The projected edition for Orchard III was 200 proofs. Only 60 proofs were pulled and the plates have been canceled.

In my etching “Orchard” III, the embowering shelter of tree branches bent over to form a natural archway reminds one of the timbered origins of architecture.  The relationships of man and nature can kindle transcendental spiritual memories, myths and meanings.  

Tucked stealthily into the tree branches of “Orchard” etching is an architectural floor plan of a church as if the woods and the chapel were extensions of each other.  By juxtaposing the organic forms of nature with geometric architectural ornamentation I am exploring the deepest relationships between natural form and human design.
